Newly renovated Avlabari Metro Station opened at 8:00 p.m. September 4, 2007.

The exterior and interior of the station were completely changed. The communications were replaced. Video-surveillance cameras and advertising monitors were installed. The obsolete lighting was replaced with modern economic lights.

Besides, passengers can enjoy a variety of bank services in the renovated station. The service center of Bank of Georgia can help conduct any transaction – pay utility bills, open accounts, transfer money, etc.

Among those attending the opening of the renovated station were Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava, the Management of Bank of Georgia and the media representatives. The Mayor toured the renovated station and traveled by metro down to Isani Station.
